About the Post / Opportunity
The Ministry of External Affairs invites applications from eligible candidates for engagement as a Consultant in the Integrated Finance Division (IFD). The engagement is purely on a contractual basis for a period of 01 year, which may be extended depending on performance, mutual willingness, and the requirement of the Ministry. The contract is terminable by either side with one month’s notice or payment of one month’s remuneration in lieu thereof.

Roles and Responsibilities
The Consultant will be required to analyse proposals received by the Integrated Finance Division and provide recommendations. The role includes assisting in vetting and examination of proposals related to procurement, contracts, agreements, and implementation thereof, along with providing legal inputs. The Consultant will also provide legal inputs on contracts and arbitration matters, coordinate with other stakeholders, and perform any other work assigned by the Ministry from time to time.

The applicant must be an Indian national.

The applicant must possess an LLB degree from a University with a NAAC rating of at least A+.

The applicant must have a minimum of 5 years’ post-LLB experience, including at least 2 years’ experience dealing with financial and legal matters associated with procurements and contracts, in companies or government departments engaged in the infrastructure sector.

The applicant must be above 27 years of age and below 45 years of age as on the date of the advertisement.

Desirable qualification includes post-LLB specialisation in contract law or corporate law.
Salary
The remuneration will be commensurate with the experience and profile of the selected candidate, subject to a maximum of ₹83,300 per month, with applicable tax deductions. The consultancy fee shall remain unchanged during the term of engagement. No additional benefits such as Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical facilities, Seniority, Promotion, or HRA shall be admissible. The engagement is full-time, with normal working hours from 0900 hrs to 1730 hrs, and no extra remuneration will be paid for work beyond office hours or on holidays.
