The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) is a premier Public Sector Enterprise under the Department of Atomic Energy. As the country’s central agency for nuclear power generation, NPCIL oversees the design, construction and operation of nuclear reactors across India. The corporation plays a core role in India’s civil nuclear programme and maintains a rigorous regulatory and operational framework across its units.

2. About the Post / Opportunity

NPCIL has invited applications for the post of Deputy Manager (Legal), a middle-management position responsible for supporting the corporation’s legal, regulatory and compliance functions. The post carries significant responsibility in handling corporate legal affairs across NPCIL’s establishments. 01 vacancy (UR) has been notified under this advertisement.

3. Roles and Responsibilities 

The Deputy Manager (Legal) will be involved in advising on Company, Civil, Labour and Industrial laws; reviewing and drafting contracts, tenders and MoUs; assisting in arbitration and litigation; ensuring compliance with Central and State statutory frameworks; coordinating with legal counsel; and representing NPCIL before legal and regulatory authorities where required. The role extends to supporting policy formulation and internal legal risk assessment.

4. Eligibility 

Applicants must possess a full-time LLB degree with at least 60% marks from a university recognised by the Bar Council of India. Registration with a State Bar Council or the Bar Council of India is mandatory.

5. Experience 

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years post-qualification practical legal experience, either in litigation practice or within a reputed organisation. Experience should demonstrate exposure to corporate, civil, labour and industrial law matters. Additional experience may be considered for advance increments at the time of selection.

6. Compensation / Salary 

The position carries Pay Level 10 (₹56,100) under the 7th CPC, along with dearness allowance and other admissible benefits. With DA included, the approximate monthly emoluments amount to ₹86,955, subject to applicable allowances under NPCIL norms.

8. Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of two stages:
Stage I: Online Test
Stage II: Personal Interview
Final selection will be based on the combined performance in both stages.
