1. About the Organisation

Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) is a Miniratna Category-I Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Mines. As India’s only fully integrated copper producer, the company operates across mining, smelting, refining and downstream manufacturing, with units spread across the country. HCL recruits on a regular basis to strengthen its operational and administrative teams.

2. About the Post / Opportunity

HCL has invited applications from eligible Indian nationals for the post of Junior Manager (E0 Grade) – Law. The post is part of the organisation’s supervisory cadre and forms a key link in managing legal compliance, litigation, and regulatory work across its operations. A total of 03 vacancies have been notified in the Law discipline.

3. Roles and Responsibilities 

Junior Managers (Law) are expected to support the organisation’s legal operations, including handling litigation before courts and tribunals, drafting and vetting contracts, preparing legal notices, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. The role also involves coordinating with external counsel, advising internal departments on legal risks, and assisting in regulatory and policy-related matters relevant to HCL.

4. Eligibility 

Candidates must meet one of the following educational paths:

  • Graduate degree with at least 5 years of post-qualification legal experience,
    OR

  • LLB / 5-year Integrated LLB with a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification legal experience.

All qualifications must be from recognised institutions, and equivalent degrees are accepted as per UGC/AIU/AICTE norms.

5. Experience 

Only full-time, regular, post-qualification legal experience is considered. For candidates with litigation background, independent legal practice is valid, provided they can demonstrate actual court appearances for the claimed period. Experience gained through internships, fellowships, consultancy or training is not counted.

6. Compensation / Salary 

Selected candidates will be placed in the E0 Grade pay scale of ₹30,000 – 3% – ₹1,20,000 (IDA), along with standard allowances. Upon joining, candidates must execute a service bond of ₹3,00,000, agreeing to serve the company for a minimum of three years.

8. Selection Process

Selection will be based on a Computer-Based Written Test (CBT) followed by Document Verification.
Minimum qualifying marks:

  • 30% for UR/OBC

  • 20% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates

Final appointment is subject to verification of documents and medical fitness.
