About the Post / Opportunity

This appointment will be made on a fixed-term basis for an initial period of three years, which may be extended for an additional two years depending on project needs and organisational requirements. Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
The candidate must hold a full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Law, either a three-year LL.B. or a five-year Integrated LL.B., obtained from a recognised university or institute with a minimum of 60% marks. A relaxation to 50% is applicable to candidates belonging to SC, ST, or PwBD categories. While not mandatory, an LL.M. degree with specialisation in Corporate Law, Contract Law, or Labour Law is highly desirable and will be considered an added qualification. Furthermore, the candidate should possess at least five years of post-qualification experience in handling legal functions within Public Sector Undertakings, Government Organisations, or reputed private corporations. Preference will be given to those who have worked in the power sector, renewable energy sector, or infrastructure-based organisations due to the nature of NGEL’s operations.

Salary / Remuneration

Selection Procedure
The selection process will be based on an assessment of the candidate’s experience and performance in an interview. The interview carries a weightage of 70 marks, and candidates must obtain at least 50 percent to qualify under the Unreserved category. Experience will carry a weightage of 30 marks, with a minimum of 50 percent required for qualification. Candidates possessing the minimum required experience will receive a base score of fifteen marks, and those with additional years of experience will be awarded two extra marks for each year, up to a maximum of thirty marks. A merit list will be prepared based on the cumulative score, and offers of appointment will be issued strictly in accordance with the ranking and the availability of vacancies.
