Roles and Responsibilities
• Presiding over the court as a Civil Judge (Junior Division) and Judicial Magistrate.
• Adjudicating civil disputes and conducting criminal trials within the local jurisdiction.
• Interpreting laws, evaluating evidence, and delivering legal judgments.
• Managing court proceedings and ensuring the timely disposal of cases.
Eligibility
• Educational Qualification: Graduate in Law (LLB) from a recognized University or Institution.
• Experience: A candidate must be a practicing Advocate or a Law Graduate (the specific date of eligibility for the degree is the closing date of the application).
• Age Limit (as of 01.01.2025): Minimum 23 years and Maximum 35 years.
Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/SEBC/Women/Ex-SM; 10 years for PwD.
Salary/Perks
• Pay Scale: ₹77,840 – ₹1,36,520.
• Allowances: Usual Dearness Allowance (DA) and other allowances as sanctioned by the Government of Odisha from time to time.
