About the Organisation
The Multilateral Economic Relations (MER) Division is a key wing of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India. It is responsible for managing India's relations with multilateral economic forums and international organizations such as BRICS, G20, WTO, IMF, and the World Bank.
About the Post/Opportunity/Job
This is a contractual engagement for 10 Consultants to assist the MER Division during India’s upcoming BRICS Chair ship. The initial contract period is one year, which may be extended based on performance and institutional requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities
Strategic Support: Attach to dedicated BRICS Working Groups (e.g., Trade, Finance, Agriculture, Energy, ICT) to develop concept notes and analytical background documents.
Meeting Preparation: Assist in drafting outcome documents, presentations, and position papers for Ministerial, Sherpa, and Working Group meetings.
Liaison & Coordination: Perform liaison duties with various GoI Line Ministries, international organizations, and BRICS member/invitee countries
Documentation: Maintain records of meetings and keep track of different country positions on relevant global subjects.
Research: Conduct research on key issues related to the BRICS agenda to support India’s policy interventions.
Eligibility
Nationality: Must be an Indian National.
Qualification: Master’s degree or higher from a reputed Indian or International University in fields such as Economics, International Relations, Law, Public Administration, International Trade, or Strategic Studies.
Desired Skills: Proficiency in using computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and research experience in relevant fields.
Salary/Perks
Remuneration: While the specific consolidated pay for this 2025 cycle is typically determined based on qualifications and experience, similar MEA consultancy roles often range between Rs/- 50,000 to Rs/- 1,00,000+ per month.
Terms: The contract can be terminated by either side with one month’s notice.
