Roles & Responsibilities
• Oversee and manage all legal affairs of the company.
• Draft, review, and vet legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
• Represent GAIL in legal proceedings and provide legal advice to management.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Coordinate with external legal counsels and government authorities.

Eligibility
• Educational Qualification:

• Graduate Degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks and Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) (3 years professional course) with minimum 50% marks; OR
• 5 years Integrated LLB Degree (Professional) with minimum 50% marks.
• Preference given to candidates possessing a Master’s Degree in Law (LLM).

• Experience:

• Minimum 24 years of post-qualification executive experience (including ET/MT) in government departments, PSUs, or large private sector organizations/law firms, out of which at least 16 years must be in legal function.
• Up to 8 years of experience as a practicing advocate will also be considered.
• For government/PSU candidates, at least 1 year experience in the next lower pay scale (E-7 or equivalent) is required.

• Age:

• Upper age limit: 52 years (as on 17 October 2025).
• Relaxation: PwBD – 10 years; Maximum age including relaxation – 56 years.
