About the Post / Opportunity

The University is inviting applications for faculty and research positions on a contractual basis for its specialized Post Graduate Insolvency Programme (PGIP) - MA/LLM.

• Programme Nature: A two-year specialized academic programme in insolvency and restructuring authorized by the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI).

• Appointment Type: Full-time, contractual positions.

• Tenure: Initial period of one year, with potential for extension based on performance and fund availability.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assistant Professor: Responsible for specialized course delivery and advanced research supervision within the PGIP.

• Research Associate: Provides research and project support, manages PGIP affairs, coordinates with stakeholders, organizes academic events, and authors papers or reports.

Eligibility

• Assistant Professor (Annexure A):

  • Qualification: LL.M. with at least 55% marks in Commercial/Insolvency Law.

  • Requirement: UGC-NET/SLAT (Law) or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.

  • Experience: 02 years of teaching experience in the specialization.

  • Other: Record of quality publications in the field.

• Research Associate (Annexure B):

  • Qualification: LL.M. or relevant Master's degree with minimum 55% marks.

  • Requirement: Proficiency in Commercial/Insolvency Law is necessary.

  • Desirable: Prior research experience including fieldwork and data collection.

Experience Requirements

Assistant Professor (Commercial Law / Insolvency Law)

• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Commercial Law / Insolvency Law at a recognized university or institution.

• Demonstrated research experience with quality academic publications in the relevant field is required.

• Practical or professional exposure to insolvency, restructuring, or commercial law will be an added advantage.

Research Associate (Commercial Law / Insolvency Law)

• Prior research experience is desirable, particularly in Commercial Law / Insolvency Law.

• Experience in legal research, data collection, report writing, or academic projects will be preferred.

• Fresh postgraduates with strong research aptitude may also apply.

Salary/Remuneration

• Assistant Professor: Rs. 90,000/- per month (subject to 10% TDS).

• Research Associate: Rs. 50,000/- per month (subject to 10% TDS).
