The Mentorship Project Blog – Submission Guidelines
Please go through the submission guidelines below before filling out the submission form.
Content Requirements
The Mentorship Project Blog seeks to publish original, insightful, and well-reasoned articles that engage with contemporary legal developments, offer critical perspectives, or revive discussion on long-neglected or emerging legal issues. We invite contributions across all areas of law—constitutional, commercial, international, criminal, civil, procedural, and interdisciplinary.
Submissions may range from analytical pieces, commentaries, book/case reviews, comparative studies, policy critiques, and conceptual explorations that push the boundaries of conventional legal thought. While descriptive summaries of recent judgments or statutes are generally discouraged, we welcome nuanced engagement with such developments if accompanied by critical analysis, original insight, or exploration of broader legal implications.
We are especially open to:
- Multi-jurisdictional or comparative perspectives;
- Engagement with foreign legal systems or international developments;
- Contributions from both students and professionals aimed at bridging academic research and practical legal insights.
General Submission Guidelines
- All submissions must be made in .doc or .docx format.
- Submissions must be made through our submission form.
- Co-authorship of up to two authors is allowed.
- Submissions must be original and unpublished. Plagiarism or use of generative AI for content generation will lead to automatic rejection.

- The Editorial Board reserves the right to request revisions, suggest edits, and reject or withdraw submissions at any stage.
Length and Referencing
- Ideal length: 800 to 2,000 words.
- Longer pieces (up to 3,000 words) may be considered and published in parts if the content warrants it.
- Submissions should prefer hyperlinks over footnotes for ease of readability. Use footnotes or endnotes only when sources are not available online or are behind a paywall (e.g., journal articles, casebooks).
- Referencing style should be consistent and in line with standard legal citation formats (e.g., Bluebook/OSCOLA), as applicable.
Copyright & Cross-Posting Policy
- Copyright of published works will vest with The Mentorship Project Blog, while moral rights will remain with the author(s).
- Any republication or cross-posting must be done only with prior written consent from the Editorial Board.
- The Blog will not use the published works for commercial purposes without notifying and crediting the author(s).
