About the Post / Opportunity

CUSAT's School of Legal Studies is recruiting Assistant Professors on a contractual basis to teach law courses at the School, a faculty teaching position (not permanent/tenured), engaged for a period to be decided by the University from time to time. Two vacancies are being filled for Assistant Professor (Contract) in Law under this recruitment drive.

Roles and Responsibilities

Teaching law courses at UG/PG level; guiding student research/moot court activities; evaluating student performance; undertaking academic research and publications; assisting with departmental/administrative duties as assigned.

Eligibility

Educational Qualification:

A Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR (Ph.D. Degree holders may be exempted from NET as per UGC Regulations 2018). Other eligibility conditions as per UGC Regulations 2018.

Specialization:

LLM with UGC NET/Ph.D.

Desirable Qualification:

Ph.D.

Salary / Perks

Consolidated salary per month: ₹47,000/- for Ph.D. holders; ₹45,000/- for the rest of the contract teachers.
