ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) is responsible for recruiting capable and highly skilled individuals by conducting written tests, professional tests, and personal interviews for various departments under the Government of NCT of Delhi.

ABOUT THE POST/OPPORTUNITY/JOB

This recruitment is for the post of Legal Assistant across four different departments of the Government of NCT of Delhi, as part of the Combined Examinations for 2026.

NO. OF VACANCY

There are a total of 12 vacancies for Legal Assistant. The department-wise breakdown is as follows:

Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC): 05 posts (UR-03, OBC-01, EWS-01).

Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB): 02 posts (UR-02).

Department of Law, Justice and Legislative Affairs: 04 posts (OBC-01, SC-01, ST-01, EWS-01).

Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC): 01 post (UR-01).

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

While specific day-to-day tasks are not detailed, the roles generally involve handling legal work, preparing briefs, and assisting in legislative and judicial matters for the respective departments.

ELIGIBILITY (DETERMINED AS OF MARCH 25, 2026)

• • Educational Qualification & Experience

    • DPCC: Degree in Law and 3 years' experience as a Legal Practitioner or 1 year in a Government Department.

    • DUSIB: Regular Degree in Law and 3 years' experience at the Bar.

    • Law Department: Degree in Law and 2 years' experience as a Legal Practitioner or 1 year in a Government Department/PSU.

    • DTC: Graduate in Law, 1-year experience with an advocate, and enrollment with the Bar Council. Knowledge of Hindi is mandatory.

  • Age Limit: Generally, not exceeding 30 years for most departments. For DTC, the age limit is 18-35 years.

SALARY/PERKS

Pay Scale: Primarily ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400 (Pay Level-6).

DUSIB Pay Scale: ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400 (Pay Level-7).
