Eligibility

Educational Qualification

● LLB.

● Enrollment Certificate as an Advocate with the Bar Council.

Experience

● Minimum standing of 10 years or more as an Advocate.

● Experience at the Bar in handling criminal cases.

● Unconditional willingness/consent to work on general terms and conditions approved by the Government of India from time to time.

● Details of important cases handled by the applicant must be submitted.

Period of Engagement

● Minimum 3 years.

Salary / Perks

● Effective hearing: ₹7,500/- per case per day; non-effective hearing: 1/3rd of effective hearing fee (if beyond counsel's control).

● Drafting fee per pleading: ₹2,000/-.

● Conference charges: ₹600/- per hour per conference (max 5 conferences per case/group of cases).

● Out-of-pocket expenses: ₹750/- per case.

● Travelling Allowance: at rates admissible to Group-A Gazetted Officers.

● Additional entitlements: out-of-headquarters daily fee (₹1,000/day), travel/hotel expenses, and clerkage (10% of fees, max ₹1,800/case or batch of cases), as per the DoPT letter.
