About the Post / Opportunity

CG PSC has invited online applications for direct recruitment to the post of Sahayak Jila Lok Abhiyojan Adhikari (Assistant District Public Prosecutor) under the Home Department, Government of Chhattisgarh. Roles and Responsibilities

● Representing the State in criminal prosecution matters at the district level.

● Assisting in conducting criminal trials on behalf of the Home Department.

● Reviewing case records, evidence, and legal documents for prosecution.

● Liaising with police and investigating authorities in criminal matters.

● Performing other legal/prosecutorial duties assigned by the Home Department.

Note

● Tentative exam date: 20 September 2026.

● Selection process: Written exam (300 marks) + Interview (30 marks) = Total 330 marks; if direct interview is conducted instead, it will carry 100 marks with 33% (23% for SC/ST/OBC) minimum qualifying marks.

● Written exam has 150 objective-type questions in two parts: General Knowledge (50 questions) and Law — Major & Minor Acts (100 questions), with negative marking (1/3 mark deducted per wrong answer).

● Selection is subject to the final orders of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in SLP(C) No. 19668/2022 and pending writ petitions before the Chhattisgarh High Court (WPS 4723/2015 and WPS 1995/2017).

● No provision for re-checking or re-evaluation of exam results.
