About the Organisation
The Income Tax Department functions under the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, and is responsible for administration of direct tax laws. It represents the government in tax litigation matters before judicial forums including the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT).

Roles and Responsibilities
· Studying case records and paper books of listed matters
· Analyzing judgments relied upon by the assessee
· Identifying relevant judgments in favour of the department
· Preparing briefing notes and written submissions
· Conducting legal research on taxation issues
· Assisting officers in litigation and case preparation
Eligibility
Educational Qualification
· Graduate / Postgraduate degree in Law from a recognized institution
· Minimum 50% marks in LLB / LLM
· Chartered Accountants may also apply
Age Limit
Maximum: 35 years
Desirable
· Experience or research work in taxation laws
· ICT skills and computer proficiency
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
Salary / Perks
₹60,000 per month (lump sum)
