Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU) was established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh under Act No. 32 of 2008. Located at "NYAYAPRASTHA" in Visakhapatnam, it is a specialized institution dedicated to legal education and research.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Engaging in high-quality teaching and active research, including the publication of work in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.

Professors are expected to guide doctoral candidates.

Providing academic and research leadership within their respective legal disciplines.

Eligibility

Professor: Ph.D. with a minimum of 10 years of teaching/research experience and at least 10 research publications.

Associate Professor: Ph.D. with a Master’s degree (at least 55% marks) and 8 years of teaching/research experience.

Assistant Professor: Master’s degree with 55% marks, a Ph.D. degree, and NET/SET/SLET qualification.

Teaching Associate/Research Assistant: Master's degree in a relevant subject with at least 55% marks.

Salary/perks

Professor: ₹1,44,200 – ₹2,18,200 (UGC 2016 Scale).

Associate Professor: ₹1,31,400 – ₹2,17,100 (UGC 2016 Scale).

Assistant Professor: ₹57,700 – ₹1,82,400 (Scales of Pay).

Teaching Associate: ₹54,060 – ₹1,40,540 (A.P. State 2022 Scale).

Research Assistant: ₹37,640 – ₹1,15,500 (A.P. State 2022 Scale).
