Roles and Responsibilities

Handle legal matters of the Port Authority's Law Division, including examination and vetting of contracts, agreements, tenders, and other legal documents; provide legal opinions and advice to the various departments of the Authority; represent and coordinate litigation involving the Authority before courts, tribunals, and other legal forums; oversee compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; assist and support the Chief Law Officer in the overall functioning of the Law Division.

Eligibility

- Essential Educational Qualification: Degree in Law from a recognized University.

- Essential Experience: Nine years' executive experience in a legal Establishment of any Industrial/Commercial/Govt. undertakings.

- Desirable: Post Graduate Degree in Law from a recognized University.

Salary / Perks

Rs. 60,000–1,80,000.

Emoluments & Benefits: Pay Package includes Basic Pay, DA based on IDA Pattern, and Cafeteria allowances @ 35% of Basic Pay. Additionally, Gratuity, HRA or quarters, Medical benefits, leave encashment, NPS, Group Insurance, etc. are admissible as per Rules of Visakhapatnam Port Authority/Government of India guidelines.
