About the Organisation

It exercises jurisdiction over the subordinate judiciary in the State and periodically recruits Legal Assistants on a contractual basis to assist the Hon'ble Judges in legal research, drafting, case analysis, and other judicial functions.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assisting Hon'ble Judges in legal research and case law analysis.
• Conducting research on statutes, judicial precedents, and legal principles.
• Preparing legal briefs, research notes, and summaries.
• Assisting in drafting judicial orders, opinions, and other legal documents.
• Examining case records and identifying relevant legal issues.
• Performing any other legal or research-related work assigned by the High Court.

Eligibility

Educational Qualification

● Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognised University.

● Final-year law students may also be eligible, subject to the detailed eligibility conditions mentioned in the official notification.

Age Limit

As per the rules prescribed by the High Court of Gujarat in the detailed notification.

Salary / Perks

● Fixed remuneration of ₹60,000 per month.

● Initial contractual engagement for 11 months, extendable by another 11 months based on the requirements of the High Court and satisfactory performance.
