About the Organisation

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) is a statutory organization under the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC), Government of India. It is headquartered at Parivesh Bhawan, East Arjun Nagar, Delhi-110032. CPCB is responsible for promoting cleanliness of streams and wells, improving air quality, and coordinating activities of State Pollution Control Boards.

About the Post/Opportunity

CPCB is inviting applications for empanelment of Advocates to represent the Board before:

• Hon’ble Supreme Court of India

• Hon’ble Delhi High Court

• Hon’ble National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench)

• District Courts, Commissions & Tribunals (other than NGT-PB) situated at Delhi

This empanelment is for legal representation of CPCB in various courts and tribunals.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Represent CPCB in assigned courts/tribunals.

• Handle cases related to environmental laws and other matters concerning CPCB.

• Provide legal advice and assistance as required.

• Participate in hearings, prepare legal documents, and ensure compliance with CPCB’s norms.

• Performance will be periodically reviewed by CPCB.

Eligibility

Supreme Court of India

• Must be an Advocate on Record under Supreme Court Rules, 1966.

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience as an Advocate.

Delhi High Court

• Enrolled with Bar Council of India.

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience as an Advocate.

National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench)

• Enrolled with Bar Council of India or State Bar Councils.

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience as an Advocate.

• Desirable: Experience in environmental law cases before NGT.

District Courts/Commissions/Other Tribunals (Delhi Jurisdiction)

• Enrolled with Bar Council of India or State Bar Councils.

• Member of District Bar Association.

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience as an Advocate.

Desirable for all categories: Already empanelled with Pollution Control Boards, Government Ministries, Statutory Organisations, PSUs, or Central/State Government Departments.

Salary

• Professional fee will be as per CPCB norms and terms & conditions issued from time to time.

• No fixed salary mentioned; payment will be case-based.
